Giv'er is the local rides and errands app for Pictou County, Nova Scotia. Rides anywhere in the county, plus Nova Scotia Liquor pickups, groceries, pharmacy runs, airport trips, and any errand you would rather hand off. Every driver in Giv'er lives here or in the corridor around it.
Giv'er is operated by Long Duong as a sole proprietorship. There is no separate legal entity. As sole proprietor, Long is personally responsible for the operation of the app, its customer support, and its financial obligations. This is a common structure for founder-led early-stage projects.
Uber does not operate in Pictou County. Traditional dispatch is thin. Giv'er was built so that a request from Stellarton to New Glasgow at 10 PM on a Friday can be picked up by a real local driver, not by an out-of-town platform. All drivers are approved individually and every ride goes to someone who lives in the region.
